“Zepter Bank” JSC summarizes working results for the first quarter of 2010. Regardless of close market environment and increasing competition in the banking sector of the Republic of Belarus, the Bank achieved substantial progress and laid foundation for further development. “Zepter Bank” JSC, a universal financial institution with foreign capital, offers a wide range of banking services, high-quality servicing with know your client principle.

Financial indicators of the Bank have considerably increased for the last year: assets – by 29.5% to 226.1 bln rubles; credit portfolio of legal entities, individuals and individual entrepreneurs – by 62.9% to 44.3 bln rubles; regulatory capital – by 16.2% to 52.5 bln rubles. The Bank has earned profit in amount of 1.3 bln rubles since the beginning of the year 2010.

Shareholders of “Zepter Bank” JSC increased the Bank’s share capital by 6.0. bln rubles for the period under review, bringing it to 42.0 bln rubles. Thereby, one more step was taken towards increase of the regulatory capital to the amount equivalent to no less than 25.0 mln euro. It will allow to broaden license powers of the National Bank of the Republic of Belarus for opening of accounts and attraction of individuals’ financial resources for deposits, and to broaden credit possibilities.

The Bank is focused on small and medium business servicing. The client base for the first quarter of the present year has increased nearly by a third. Such growth was primarily conditioned by quality of service, good rates, wide range of services, well-balanced borrowing policy. Likewise, this is due to the territorial expansion of service network. In addition to the center of banking services in Grodno, three more Centers of Banking Services have been opened in Brest, Vitebsk, and Gomel.

In these latter days, “Zepter Bank” JSC more and more devotes its attention to retail customers. Such fact is associated with strong demand for banking services on the part of the citizens, and introduction of modern innovative servicing methods. The most popular services among the individuals are as follows:

  • Crediting in Belarusian rubles under the program “Bargain with Zepter”;
  • Transactions without opening an account (transfer/grant of cash assets for property, cars, education, tourism purposes, etc.);
  • International transfers of express money orders via InterExpress system. “Zepter Bank” JSC is the first representative of the abovementioned system in the Republic of Belarus;

“Zepter Bank” JSC, for the purpose of Client’s business promotion, has considerably decreased interest rates on newly granted loans to individuals and legal entities since the beginning of April:

·        In Belarusian rubles – 18-22% per annum;

·                 In US dollars and Euro – 12-15% per annum.


Results of the first quarter of 2010 show that the Bank has chosen the proper strategy and is able to assure further dynamic and progressive development.
